Want to Do Brunch? Visit These Scottsdale Hotspots.

Vacation travel beckons us to sleep in, which is perfect for anyone who loves that late breakfast/early lunch combo known affectionately as brunch. Whether your tastes lean more toward the classics, like eggs and waffles with mimosas, or you crave something more sophisticated, like a gourmet BLT egg sandwich washed down with a new twist on a Bloody Mary, there are plenty of options in the Phoenix and Scottsdale areas to suit anyone’s palate.

Today our Holiday Rental team wanted to explore the places and vibes (and of course, menus) the local weekend brunch venues offer, so you and your party can opt for the one that meets your dining needs.

Hash Kitchen

If this sounds like the perfect place to cure whatever ails you from the night before, you would be correct. Hash Kitchen’s menu features comfort foods from the savory, like herb-fried chicken and waffles, to sweeter favorites, like French toast. One must be in awe of whomever created their cannoli pancakes, tying two favorites into one scrumptious dish. These thin ricotta pancakes layered with ricotta cheese and chocolate chip cream are to die for. If you’re looking to continue your party from last night, or you’re just ready to get into vacation mode, indulge in a mimosa flight or check out the wild Bloody Mary bar, reputed to be the largest in Arizona. Located in North Scottsdale, brunch is served from 7 am to 3 pm.

Postino

With locations in Arcadia, Central Phoenix, Tempe, Gilbert, and North Scottdale, you’ll be able to find a Postino restaurant close to wherever you’re staying. Brunch is served from 9 am to 1 pm and features an array of original twists on some classics, such as the BELT, which features applewood smoked bacon, scrambled eggs, lettuce, and tomato. If you’re easing into your day, the small plates might be just what you need to whet your appetite. Try the warm farmhouse scone with apricot jam and salted butter that melts in your mouth. Get comfy on one of the couches with the Sunday paper or sit out on the patio.

Butters Pancakes & Café

Brunch on a weekday? Why not, you’re on vacation! And thankfully, at Butters Pancakes & Café, you can enjoy this weekend pastime from 6:30 am to 2:30 pm Monday through Friday, as well as on the weekend. Complete with a family friendly diner vibe, you’ll find your breakfast comfort foods here, from Eggs Benedict, to sunny-side up and biscuits and gravy. Oh, and don’t forget the pancakes! They’ve got plenty of them, too, with your favorite toppings. If you enjoy your pancakes on the thinner side, you’ll want to explore the crepe menu, featuring yummy cream and fruit-filled sensations. Try either convenient location in Scottsdale or North Scottsdale.

Snooze, an AM EateryWho could possibly do breakfast better than a restaurant that’s ONLY dedicated to brunch? Located across the Southwest, including in North Scottsdale, this chain features some rather unique creations. There are five different Eggs Benedict combos, including the Benny Goodman with lox-style salmon and cream cheese hollandaise, and a Chili Verde Benedict. If your sweet tooth is screaming, the Pineapple Upside-Down Pancakes should satisfy. With a barista bar and an assortment of fruit-inspired early morning frosty beverages (both with and without kick), you’ll find the right drink to wash down all this deliciousness. Brunch is served from 6:30 am to 2:30 pm.

Riot House

The latest hotspot to open in Scottdale, Riot House is like a trip to the Caribbean, only with dry arid temps. The tropical theme décor is the perfect backdrop for a lazy brunch. The entrée options are simple, featuring crustless quiches, waffles, breakfast flatbreads, and assorted sides, all reasonably priced. If your goal is to start the morning with a kick, you’ve come to the right place. The Liquid Brunch options include designer martinis and cocktails, including one that combines coffee with vodka for the ultimate pick me up. The mimosa table service is perfect for special morning celebrations. Riot House opens at 11 am on weekends.
