A casual atmosphere awaits you with tin walls and concert posters to spark conversation as you nibble on the pretzel fondue or 36-hour pork ribs. They’re famous for their fried chicken drizzled in honey, which pairs well with brews. Try the Airplane Pickleback with spicy pink pickle juice if you’re feeling mildly adventurous. Don’t let the name of this place fool you. They do know how to cook, and they do it well.
Since being in the Southwest has sparked your desire for the favorite product of the agave plant, this is the spot you’ll want to try. Margaritas and street-style tacos 
are on the menu at this casual restaurant and bar. The airy atmosphere, replete with fire features, is where the cool kids are hanging for some yummy Mexican cuisine. The Happy Hour menu features $3.50 tacos filled with chicken, Machada beef, and traditional carnitas, all encased in house-made corn tortillas. Tortas are $4 apiece and come in chicken, beef, and shrimp varieties. There’s also traditional nachos and other fan favorites. Did we mention Margaritas? From classic to a Hibiscus Flower drink, you’ll be in frozen beverage heaven at $6 a drink. There’s also wine, cerveza (beer), and other unique concoctions to suit any taste.
For a slightly more refined Happy Hour experience, you might consider a stop by this establishment. A warm atmosphere awaits you and your guests as you sip on classic martinis or fine vintages of wine. Despite the seeming upscale feel, the prices for drinks and snacks are in line with other local venues. The Happy Hour drink selection is $5 and, in addition to the martinis, featured wines, margaritas, mojitos, Manhattans, and a version of the Arnold Palmer with Sweet Tea Vodka. Appetizers include a kettle of green pork chili with hot buttered flour tortillas, grilled fish tacos with fresh guacamole, and a generous burger.
This place aims to be different and sets itself apart by calling its happy hour a “social hour” featuring barrel-aged cocktails for $6. In fact, if you’re a connoisseur of fine liquors, you’ll find plenty to sample here with their extensive list of scotch, bourbon, whisky, rye, and vodka, plus others. Their wine list is a sommelier’s dream as well. They offer some rather creative house cocktails, such as The Underground featuring Broker’s London dry gin, golden beet shrub, turmeric simple syrup, Génépy, and lemon, served up. There’s also Ye Olde Salutation, a mix of Hayman’s Old Tom gin, Aperol, fresh-squeezed grapefruit, and basil, served on the rocks. The cocktail of the day is $6 during their social hour, draft beers are half priced, and wines are $5 a glass. Since you’ll want something tasty to absorb your beverages, try the Heirloom Popcorn made with Tender Belly bacon fat for $3 or the Kilt Lifter Fondue with Hunter’s sausage, Korean pear, and toasted country bread for $6.
Sip your cocktails while enjoying the desert breezes and views of Camelback Mountain at the same time. As the name suggests, the food here has a distinct Southwest theme with an original twist. Food Truck Fish Tacos filled with blackened grilled tilapia, Pico de Gallo, and tequila lime crema are $8. Taking a picnic favorite in a new direction are Twisted Deviled Eggs which are herb breaded & flash fried, and filled with candied bacon and rosette of chipotle stuffing ($7). The El Chorro Sticky Buns is their signature dish at $6. Happy Hour drink specials are among the least expensive in Scottsdale, with $3 domestic bottled beer, house wines, well drinks and the famous El Chorro Margarita for $5 a drink/glass.
